How warm is it?
It is time...
Time does not stand still. So, Make the best use of it! |
Haiti was a beautiful country before poverty and the abuse of her natural resources combined to take away her status as a Carribean paradise. I find it sad that the first people to become independent from the slave masters are now suffering in so much poverty. Now there is so much lawlessness and lack of opportunities it is very sad. I left thinking there was so little one person could do to solve such a large problem.
ReplyDeleteAs we keep people alive for an extra few weeks at a cost of hundreds of thousands dollars or more, people not far from us are starving and living in more poverty than most Americans can imagine.
You are right Dale! I pray that every Haitian will take it at heart to do something for their own country! Little by little we can get there! I was there for two weeks and see how poor people are but despite of all this, they still keep their smile and we are still known to be one of the most hospitable people. Haiti, ma chérie, I love you and I will try my best to do my part for you!
